Period Packages distribution w/ GSA

Project Red collaborated with GSA during the Holiday season and made the times a little more festive by selling Hot chocolate during lunch time. GSA put together period packages that were sold to the ISB community and used the money earned for helping a local charity. We also sold surplus stickers from our SHOUT event from a few months prior. Over the lifespan of the event, GSA and Project Red accumulated a large pooling of money with Project benefitting in receiving 5,000 baht. This event served as a good medium for the members who are enthusiastic about what these clubs stand for and they were able to share their passion and make this event happen and make it what it was. 

With this event occurring just before the Holiday season and break, the selling of Hot chocolate made it feel like the holidays just a little bit more. It’s very difficult to feel like the Holidays are drawing near because traditionally these holidays occur during cooler weather. The blowtorch heat of Thailand can make it difficult to get into the festive mood and you might forget that Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and or the Chinese new year is just around the corner. The selling hot chocolate can bring just a little bit more of home and festivity to the ISB campus. Also,  the making of the period packages for those who are less fortunate gave way to reminding us what this time of year is actually all about. The act of giving without the expectation of receiving and giving to those who don’t benefit from the things we benefit from ourselves.
